25 weeks

Oops!  I forgot/was too lazy to update last week.  Traveling to California really takes it out of you.  What is it about a three hour time difference?  Although, the 70 degree weather was a nice trade off.

Total Weight Gain: As of yesterday at my doctor's appointment, I've gained 13 pounds so far.  I had a slight meltdown at the doctor's office, because I had gained six pounds since my last appointment, according to their records {which was slightly off from what I thought before}.  I honestly wasn't worried about the number on the scale.  I was worried that six pounds seemed like a lot for four weeks and that was an indication that something was wrong.  And self-admittedly I was extra emotional due to our angel's due date the previous day.  I only gained 26 pounds with K, but Dr. N put it in perspective that I'm over halfway through my pregnancy and have only gained half of what I did with K.  She reassured me that everything was fine and mentioned she wished everyone was that worried about weight gain.  My blood pressure was 117/60 {a little high for me, but was of no concern}, my urine was great {seems odd to say} with no protein and only +1 bacteria, which apparently is negligible and is great, and have not had any swelling in my feet, legs or ankles.  I have my next appointment on March 19th and will have my blood glucose test that morning as well.
Here it is .... first obligatory bump picture
Maternity Clothes: Still in them - shocking I know :).  I would love to progress to more short sleeve shirts and such, but Indiana has decided to have a record breaking snow season this winter with over 51 inches of snow since December!  Although, typical for my birthday week {you can all thank me} the weather has warmed up - in the 50's today but with thunderstorms and high winds.

Sleep: This week is better in my own bed compared to last week's Fairfield Inn.  Do you think I'd get funny looks if I drag my BumpNest pillow with me for all future travel?  It may be difficult to drag it on the plane with me though.

Best Moment of the Week: Having my doctor's appointment and hearing that sweet heartbeat.  And a close second was seeing my co-worker and her tiny, 2.5 week old baby Levi yesterday.  He is so darn cute and little.  It's amazing how quickly you forget how tiny they start out.

Worst Moment of the Week: Experiencing our angel baby's due date.  Harder than I thought.

Movement: All the time!  This baby is a moving machine.  Still sweet, although, those elbows are getting sharp!  Seems most active at night.

Food Cravings: Nothing.  I'm always starving for lunch, but could take or leave dinner most nights.

Food Aversions: Nothing really, luckily chicken is getting better, but is still hit or miss.

Symptoms: Lets see: hip pain, belly itching {which I'm assuming is stretching plus winter dry skin}, heartburn -starting to wake me up some nights, so I may need to start using the foam wedge that came with my BumpNest pillow.  And luckily my wrists have not been bothering me as much.

Gender: 50/50 ... maybe we should start taking a poll?  I go back and forth on my thoughts, but we all know I thought K was going to be a boy and she most certainly was not.  Yesterday, with the heartbeat being in the 120's it made me lean back to boy, but I still feel like I'm carrying the same way as I did with K.  I guess we'll know in 15 short weeks!

Names: Elliana Hope or Caiden Michael

Labor Signs: No, but been having more pressure than I remember with K at this point.  When I asked Dr. N yesterday about this, she somewhat laughed and just said "Second baby."  I understand, Dr. N everything is "pre-conditioned."

Belly Button: Still hanging on .... barely.

What I Miss: Putting on socks with ease, or carrying K up the stairs without being winded.  Although, we are both gaining weight these days, both make it more and more difficult for Mama.  I'm carrying an extra 13 plus K at ~25.  At least it's a good workout!

What I Am Looking Forward To: Getting to the third trimester and hopefully passing my glucose test with flying colors.  The warmer weather will hopefully stick around and allow a few more evening walks as well!
