40 weeks - Checkered flag .... almost!

40 weeks - Jackfruit
Total Weight Gain: As of my doctor's appointment on Wednesday morning, I am at 19 lbs total, as I lost 5 pounds from last week.  I think it is due to clothing differences, going to the bathroom prior to weight check {too much water that day apparently}, and being at the end, I lost weight with K too.  I have been eating, including ice cream every night after our walk.  I am totally okay with ice cream causing weight loss, but don't think the correlation is too strong there! :)
40 weeks .... I feel about how my face looks
Doctor Update: I did not get to see Dr. N again, which I was bummed about, as she was upstairs performing a C-section at the time, so I saw Jenna, her nurse instead.  Blood pressure was good at 120/74.  Urine was good.  I was measuring 37.5-38 weeks, so still "small" but good growth so no worries there.  Baby is still head down on the left side.  Heart rate was good {forgot to ask what it was exactly}.  I was 3-4 cm dilated and 60% effaced.  I learned with first babies you must efface fully before you can dilate further than 3-4 but with subsequent babies, dilation and effacing can happen simultaneously.

Maternity Clothes: Shorts have been my friend {sorry to anyone around me, as my legs are still really white} since it's been so warm.

Sleep: Still sleeping okay, but have my good friends heartburn and insomnia off and on.

Best Moment of the Week: I have two this week: 1) Getting to see/meet our new nephew on Monday!  Clayton Ryan Roberts was born on 6/2/14 at 3:27 pm and was 7 lbs, 4 oz and 20 inches long.  And 2) Getting to go to yoga - after four weeks of not being able to go/it being cancelled, it felt SO good, but was oh so hard!
Handsome little fella looks like big sis Madie in my opinion!
Worst Moment of the Week: Finding out I was not further along with dilation/effacing.
Sadly I can relate with this more than I imagined I would
Movement: Baby has still been active and had the longest bout of hiccups on Tuesday night.  Must be trying to get that last little bit of growth in!

Food Cravings: Nothing really, although I guess you could say ice cream! :)

Food Aversions: Can't think of anything

Symptoms: Heartburn, insomnia, some carpal tunnel like pain during yoga, hip/lower back pain.

Gender: It's still 50/50 but cannot wait to find out!
Love her!
Names: Elliana Hope or Cayden Michael {although Tuesday night Jared mentioned a different name for baby boy - so we shall see I guess}

Labor Signs: Contractions - stayed tuned for this baby's birth story and Braxton Hicks

Belly Button: Gone, outie and disgusting and Jared informed me at my doctor's appointment "the line" has appeared below the belly button - so much for that little glimmer of hope.  Still no stretch marks, so I'll hold on to that.

What I Miss: Chewing gum - I have avoided gum and mints due to aspartame and miscarriage risk {although very very small risk}

What I Am Looking Forward To: MEETING THIS BABY!
