4 month checkup

Just a quick update.  Kherington had her 4 month doctor's visit this morning.  Dr. Valuch said she looked great! (Although her Daddy and I already knew that!)  Still breaks my heart to see her cry so hard, and to be in pain.  But I just repeat my mantra, "This is less painful than contracting any of the diseases she's being vaccinated for."  Four sticks in the legs and an oral vaccine and we were good to go.

Hard to see, but K got two Taz bandaids
Kherington weighs 13 lbs, 9 oz which is the 34th percentile (up from 24th at 2 months) and is 24 3/4 inches long which is the 59th percentile (down from 70th at 2 months).  She decided during the last couple of months that she needed to let some of her peers catch up height wise, or otherwise she was going to be towering over everyone!  Her head is still big at 16 3/4 inches which is in the 92nd percentile (up from 90th at 2 months).  Its just all those brains in there for that full ride scholarship someday to Purdue ;).

Dr. Valuch said we could start solids anytime we wanted, and that it was not rocket science.  Just to start with simple things and introduce new things every 4 days or so to make sure she didn't have a reaction.  Jared and I are excited to introduce new things, but also realize that right now it is easy.  We have food at ready access anytime we are out and about.

She was very impressed with her neck strength (shocking considering she despised tummy time for SO long) and said she thought she was going to be sitting up soon, based on her pulling her head up from laying down and her stableness when supported in a sitting position!

So proud of our little girl.  And even more thankful for her being so happy and healthy!  <3 you KFR!!
