K at 51 months

51 months
K has had a busy month, but the thing that has changed the most probably would be that she is now in the Wagons class at school, which makes her in pre-kindergarten.  I was a little nervous for this transition, because of a few different factors, 1) she LOVED Ms. Bailey, 2) she didn't really know Ms. Anu or Ms. Aftyn and 3) she didn't really get to visit this class much before making the transition.  My nerves were calmed because ~5 of her Submarine classmates were moving with her and Katie, her best little friend right now was one of them.  Mara's parents decided to take her out of school for the summer and move her to a different preschool for fall with more kids she'll go to kindergarten with.  We are sad she left but have managed to sneak in a play date still!

I don't know whether it is just K or whether it is the class, but this has been my favorite classroom thus far.  Ms. Anu and Ms. Aftyn are awesome.  K has been able to start attending field trips {I won't even go through the neurotic monologue that went on in my head about lack of carseats on the bus :)}.  She pointed to the poster on her door the other day and said "26" which was the number that was listed.  She is saying each letter of words as she "reads."  And drop off in the morning has done a 180.  It seems she is always so excited to go to school and has always been excited in the afternoons when I pick her up.  Her confidence has just bloomed in there during the last couple of weeks.

K {and Ellie} are slightly obsessed with our neighbor Harper.  They would play with her all day every day if they could.  Harper is right in the middle of our girls, but is so mature.  The three of them play so well together, at least 98% of the time!
Aunt Nicole finally got to meet Isabelle
Loved her little knee muffins
Never been more proud of my sister
Happy birthday Clay man!

She defiantly is my kid with her sweet tooth
We got to celebrate two cousin birthdays this month too.  Our newest cousin Isabelle Grace Sizemore was born on June 5th, about 6 weeks early.  After just shy of 3 weeks in the NICU she is home, doing well and growing like a weed.  We also got to celebrate cousin Clay's second birthday!

K really has taken to wanting to ride her bike.  Not sure what made the change, but the night before Ellie's birthday party, she was a bike riding machine.  It was AMAZING to watch her go from not being able to make the corner to go around our house on the sidewalk to making the curve and riding like a champ.  So proud of her!

These three have my whole heart
We got an opportunity to go see Finding Dory when our realtor friend Deb invited us to a private showing.  This was Ellie's first movie and K's third.  She enjoyed it.  Super cute movie!!

K and Ellie also started swim lessons this month {which I failed to take pictures of}.  I joke that I had to sell a kidney to afford Goldfish, but in all honesty, they are amazing.  I was most nervous for K, since she still has a tendency to not like to get her head wet.  Jared went with her, and I went with Ellie.  I looked down at the other end of the pool and she had her face in the water - WHAT? - and was swimming.  She told me she had so much fun and keeps asking when we are going back.  So proud of her and excited to see what she will continue to learn!!

We have been so blessed to have another great month celebrating and enjoying our sweet girls!
