Maternity Clothes: I drove to Crown Point right before Christmas as a friend was selling a bunch of maternity clothes, including summer items. This will come in handy in two weeks when I'm in Fort Lauderdale and for this spring/summer, as I didn't have any warmer weather items with Kherington being born in March. I also got a cute sweater and a gift card for Christmas to help the wardrobe!
Sleep: Sleep got a little better with my wonderful BumpNest pillow that Jared got me for Christmas. He said he was tempted to get one for himself after trying mine out. Seriously, every pregnant woman NEEDS one! Sleeping is still okay, although thanks to my other Christmas present, the FitBit Force, it informed me that I am have around 10 restless periods throughout the night.
Best Moment of the Week: Having my doctor's appointment, hearing that sweet little heartbeat (145 bpm) and scheduling our ultrasound. January 6, 2014 at 1:00 pm!
Worst Moment of the Week: Having a co-worker ask me today if I was expecting. Overall, not such a bad thing, but she basically implied that I should be further along than 18 weeks, based off of my looks. Good thing I wasn't the biggest fan of her to begin with! :)
Movement: Feeling those kicks, punches and rolls. And the baby apparently didn't like the doppler at my appointment either, as he or she kicked or punched it twice while listening.
Food Cravings: Nothing really.
Food Aversions: Still not a big fan of chicken most of the time.
Symptoms: Where to begin: hip pain, back pain, heartburn, and occasional carpal tunnel symptoms.
Gender: Not sure. I feel like based off of my symptoms being mostly opposite of K, it will be a boy. But I feel like based off of my belly, it reminds me of K, so it's probably a girl. All I {we} hope and pray for is one gender or the other, and healthy!
Names: We've decided - Finally! We'll share soon!!
Labor Signs: No, thank the Lord!
Belly Button: Still present
What I Miss: Nothing really, although a glass a Moscato would be nice occasionally.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Our ultrasound and seeing our sweet little one for the first time, not looking like a jelly bean!
